Who writes here?

I’m Renato, I live in Switzerland and have been travelling for 50 years – the USA, Mexico, Bali, Singapore, Thailand, North Africa and all across Europe. Sometimes by plane, sometimes by car, and gladly by motorcycle over the Alpine passes. For many years my dachshund Pepper came along – she saw more countries than most people. She has since passed away; she can still be seen in many photos here, and so she keeps travelling with me in spirit.

On this site I share what I have learned on the road: which destinations are really worth it, when best to go, which neighbourhoods are good to stay in and which hotels I can recommend – all tested myself. No sponsored hymns of praise.
