Hotel Gabrielli

I stayed at the Gabrielli around twelve years ago – worth a visit. The hotel is on the Riva degli Schiavoni, the waterfront promenade between St Mark’s Square and the Giardini, with views of the lagoon and San Giorgio Maggiore. Courtyard with a fountain, a small garden, rooms in Venetian style, and the vaporetto stop right outside the door.

St Mark’s Square is a ten-minute walk, and in the evening the Riva is quieter than the lanes behind San Marco.
