An insider tip in Perugia, where I was often on business. The Giò is split in two: the “Wine Area” with wine-themed rooms and an enoteca with over a thousand labels, and the “Jazz Area” with musical instruments in the rooms and an in-house jazz club. Large car park, restaurant, meeting rooms – and the old town up on the hill is ten minutes by car or by Minimetrò.

Perugia is the heart of Umbria: Assisi, Spello and Lake Trasimeno are all within half an hour.
