In Singapore I once had the chance to stay at the Parkroyal Collection Pickering – a real experience. The hotel is world-famous for its architecture: 15,000 square metres of gardens on the terraces, waterfalls, hanging plants cascading over several floors, an infinity pool on the fifth floor with a view of the skyline. It feels as if the jungle had moved in.
The location is ideal: Chinatown outside the door, Clarke Quay and the financial district within walking distance, the MRT station in the building. For a stopover on the way to Bali or Australia there is nothing better.
I almost always book through Booking.com – for the free cancellation and the genuine reviews. Hotels.com is also worth checking to compare prices.
