A lovely hotel if you want to visit Florence: the Hoxton occupies a palazzo in the Oltrarno district, on the quieter side of the Arno, ten minutes on foot from the Ponte Vecchio and the Palazzo Pitti. Courtyard garden, restaurant with bar, modern design within old walls.
Oltrarno is the district of artisans and trattorias – in the evening you eat better and cheaper here than around the Duomo.
