Stayed here passing through on the way to Andalusia – and stayed on as long as I could. The parador lies in the Albufera nature park south of Valencia, a stone’s throw from the beach, and right next door is one of the best golf courses in Spain: Javier Arana’s links course El Saler, regularly ranked among the top courses in Europe.
Valencia is twenty minutes away, but out here there is nothing but dunes, pines, the lake and the sea.
